With social media reshaping the landscape, Tok Pa noted that both political figures and industry leaders must adjust to this new level of public transparency and scrutiny. “This change is likely for the better,” he remarked, highlighting that this shift enables responsible citizens to voice concerns and uphold accountability in a democracy.

These comments were delivered in a speech read by TC Tan, vice-president of the United Nations Association Malaysia, at the launch of Chase Advisors. Chase Advisors is being introduced as a public affairs and policy consulting firm by global communications consultancy WE Communications, marking its expansion into Malaysia.

Tok Pa underscored the importance of creating business-friendly policies that support Malaysia’s growth in today’s dynamic environment. He expressed optimism that Chase Advisors, along with WE Communications, would help bridge the gap between the private sector and public needs, fostering mutual understanding and advancement.

Adding to this, WE Communications’ international CEO, Kass Sells, described Malaysia as a key player in the regional and global market. With Southeast Asia’s booming middle class, strong digital ecosystem, and close ties between the US and Malaysia, he believes it’s an ideal time for WE to deepen its roots in Malaysia and explore further growth in the region.
